United Notions

More free patterns! Gosh, I love finding free patterns online and when they are as gorgeous as these beauties, wow!

The website is United Notions - just click HERE. I LOVE the bear quilt:

There are SO many patterns and the directions are great; full colour, full-size templates if needed, great instructions, clear and concise - what more could you want?

What is your favourite pattern on their site?

ART GALLERY FABRICS AND MORE

I love getting emails from Art Gallery Fabrics! In addition to the occasional free pattern, they have Lookbooks. The catalogue-like downloadable Lookbooks feature new fabric lines and they are loaded with patterns - many of the patterns are FREE! So in addition to drooling over beautiful fabric, you can score a great new pattern.

Take a look at the the Lookbooks by clicking HERE.  Pretty fantastic don't you think?

There are a TON of free patterns on the internet. All you have to do is search fabric companies like Moda, Riley Blake, Art Gallery Fabrics, and on and on.

One of my favourite places to visit is Moda Bake Shop - click RIGHT HERE to go directly to amazing patterns. They rate each pattern from easy to difficult and go through all the steps. It is a treasure trove of patterns!

I love this pattern -

It's called Bursting Stars and you can find it on their November 26 post. So many options for this layout - you could totally mix it up and make it scrappy, you  could use the same background for each lock and mix up the crosses or same crosses and mix up the background.

Today I downloaded a pattern from Zen Chic's Brigitte Heitland - wow! You HAVE to take a look at what lovely patterns she is offering for FREE - click this LINK

This is the pattern I downloaded - but don't hold your breath waiting for me to make it - it could be quite a few years!

Go explore some websites and see what you can find!

TIME FLIES!

So true! Time has certainly zipped right past me - again. This post will show you some of the projects that have been worked on during June, July, and August (gasp!) and the birthdays that we have celebrated; enjoy!

The next post will wrap up 2018 - until then, may your seams all be straight!

Tula Pink!!

A few of us went to a Tula Pink trunk show recently. If you have been living under a rock and don't know who Tula Pink is, let me tell you. She is an amazing fabric designer who uses colour in a whole new way. I have loved her fabrics for a long time and now I was able to learn a little bit about her and her quilting history.

Here are a few quilts that were made with Tula Pink fabric:

And here are a few slides from Tula's presentation - she was explaining her design concept but don't ask me to repeat it! She is an artiste! I draw stick people so I have not idea how she does such amazing drawings!

And finally, here are some of Tula's quilts!!

This one is my favourite!!
Amazing, right?
