Let' try this once more!

So here are some photos of our summer quilting:

Judy is checkin out a purse/tote that Carole made ..

Very nice, although I hear the pattern wasn't the best written pattern.

Here is Karen's completed Christmas Table topper - just needs to be trimmed and bound - lovely!

Here are some of Judy's block from the quilt pattern she chose from the All People Quilt website.

Here's Jane working on her quilt.

And a Jelly Roll strip quilt that Cheryl is making for charity - beautiful colours.

A close up of Faye 2's work for the day.

Myrtle's work in progress - the Block of the Month program.

Karen is having a break!

Do you think that maybe Faye 1 is bad influence?

Here are my 1/4 inch paper pieced hexagons.

A closer look - they are from the 2016 Splendid Sampler by Pat Sloan.

On this particular day Iceland was playing in the Euro Cup (soccer) and they won! Yay!

The jelly roll strip quilt is coming together!

Here are some of Jane's Disappearing Pinwheels - from a tutorial by Jennie Doan of Missouri Star Quilt Company - her tutorials are fabulous - click HERE to go to her site.

Here is Jane's completed quilt - just gorgeous - it's so big it doesn't fit in the photo!

Here is another quilt top of Cheryl's - great colour and movement! It is from one of the Turning Twenty quilt books and was a project from our guild last year. Great job Cheryl!

Here Cheryl is working on a strip quilt using scraps and bits of fabric ....

....when combined with black, everything pops!

This is one of Carole's Row by Row rows from this years program. This block was purchased at Quilter's Dream on the south side of Edmonton. Looking fabulous!

Some more disappearing pinwheels in progress!

Judy's blocks are now making their way into rows - very pretty!

Here is Faye 2's finished quilt - very pretty!

Here are some of Carmen's block - such pretty fabric!

And here is a project that Carmen has been working on for a while but couldn't show us until now. It is a project from Sue Spargo - uses beautiful wool that is needle turned by hand - gorgeous!

These are some of my Splendid Sampler blocks ......

....and a few more.

Here is Carmen putting some of her blocks into rows - now you can see the pattern emerging!

This particular day when I got home from quilting, I noticed a label stuck to my leg. It says Bottom Right - hmmm, it is on my right leg, but how it got there, I don't know. So if anyone is missing a label, here it is!

This is the first of Carmen's Canada Maple Leaf Quilt - the maple leaves are made of scraps of fabric pieced together and then cut in the maple leaf shape - beautiful!

And the second one ------ she made one for each of her children, what lovely keepsakes!

Here's our Faye 2 enjoying her Birthday cake - Happy Birthday Faye 2 (and Carole who was unable to attend that day)!

Karen's quilt top - great job!

I guess I had to have a birthday too, Happy Birthday to me!

Another completed charity quilt from Cheryl - very soft and pretty!

The July block of Pat Sloan's BOM Secret Garden. It will look nice when I fix the bottom row and turn it around. You can find Pat's Secret Garden blocks HERE - this site includes all the blocks - and they are FREE!

This is Karen's first mitred corner - I would say she nailed it!

These are my Fall/Thanksgiving placemats (not quite finished) made from fabric I picked up from Joanns in Minnesota.

Here is Faye 2 with a completed quilt - just needs to be trimmed and bound. Very colourful!

This is some of Carmen's work - she took a class in Calgary with the famous Jen Kingwell - the circle pieces are hand stitched ......

......lovely work and a great colour palette!

And here is Carmen enjoying her birthday cake - Happy Birthday to you! I must say it seems like the best looking people have their birthdays in the summer! Just kidding of course, we are all good looking!!!

I have noticed that some of these photos are a little out of order time-wise - but I hope you will enjoy looking at them none the less.

Oops!

After spending many hours working on the latest blog post, I saved my work, hit publish and smiled to myself. However, after being notified myself of the post, I saw that only the first few paragraphs had saved - arghhhhhhh!

Sorry about that! I will rewrite and post later this week. Have a great week!
