Goodbye to the month of May

May was a very enjoyable month - strange weather with hot one day, cold the next, looks like it's going to rain but it doesn't, thunder when the sun is shining - you get the picture!

To finish off our projects from April, here are a few photos:

This is my t-shirt quilt for my son Rob when it was quilted by the lovely and talented Carmen. Can't wait to trim it and get the binding on!

And this t-shirt quilt for my son Matt; again it was quilted by Carmen in an argyll-like pattern which blended subtly in the background and gave both quilts a 'masculine' feel.

This is a strip quilt made by Cheryl - I think if there was an award for the person who used the most scraps out of their stash it would have to go to Cheryl ! Good job!

This is an embroidery quilt made by Carole. I believe the embroidery work is barns and old log homes; a lot of time and effort went into this quilt - beautiful!

This is Faye2's cabin quilt - lovely!

Here is Cheryl sharing her belated birthday cake with us - Cheryl was away from us for her birthday this year but we got a cake as soon as she came back! Happy Belated Birthday!

This is Myrtle finishing up her Necessary Clutch wallet from last time. Beautiful colours!

And Faye2 with her lively fabric and wallet!

BJ's blocks - which layout do you prefer?

Both layouts are gorgeous! Love the blue and red with the black and white!

Faye busy sewing! Keep going, you're almost done!

The start of another strip quilt from Cheryl - this time is Christmas fabrics!

Jane's Necessary Clutch wallets on the go - she is going to be our wallet pro!

Carole made a little wall hanging for Wendy, the owner of the bowling alley where we meet. It sounds strange to meet in a bowling alley but we don't actually meet IN the alley of the bowling - they have an amazing room with lots of light that works perfectly for us - thanks Carole!

The next posting will bring you upto date with our May activities - including some photos of Moose Jaw where some of us when to visit the Quilt Patch and Quilters Haven quilt stores - so stay tuned!

Bye for now,
Bev
