April Showers bring May flowers?

Well, we haven't had any showers yet but we did have a few very large snowflakes last weekend! Let's hope spring is on its way. Today it is lovely and sunny so I'm not complaining!

At our last quilting day the last week of March, a number of us worked on the Necessary Clutch Wallet; this pattern is by Emmaline and their website is HERE !

This is what the website emmalinebags.com says:

The Necessary Clutch Wallet paper

The Necessary Clutch Wallet isn't just your ordinary wallet.  Carry your cell phone/mobile, cheques, cash, cards, coins and still have room for your favorite lipstick or even personal items.  With its closed ends, everything is safe and secure and there is never any worry about anything sliding out.  Secure your clutch wallet with either a snap fastener or a professional looking twist lock available in my supplies section. (A 1-3/8" x 3/4" turn lock is recommended.)

This is the perfect wallet for me, and I am sure you will love it so much, you will be making them for every woman you know!  It's such a fantastic gift idea.  Download my FREE tutorial to make a wrist strap or shoulder strap for your wallet and never carry a purse again!

The finished size is approximately:  Length: 8” (20 cm) across bottom, Height: 4” (10 cm), Depth:  1” (25 cm) wide at bottom.

Here we are working on ours:

Here is Faye2 doing some tricky stitching - and with the sun in her eyes!

Myrtle is getting ready to top-stitch her wallet too!

A better look at Faye2's bright fabric.

BJ is busy top-stitching her vibrant wallet.

Carmen is showing her card slots ready to be added in pretty blues and yellows.

Jane's wallet is coming along nicely in a blue print.

This is mine that I sewed at our guild workshop.

Judy spent the day sewing tote bags for a Christmas sale at her grandson's school - very lovely colours!

Carmen brought in her beautiful hand appliqued (needle-turn) Easter quilt - absolutely beautiful! (just needs binding)

Look at the detail in the quilting! Carmen quilted her quilt herself!

At lunch we celebrated Jane's Birthday - I love birthdays, when they aren't my own!

At our meeting the beginning of March, we celebrated Judy's Birthday!

Carole continued to work on her Indian Puzzle quilt and ...

...it looks very nice put together.

This is Carole's Candle Mat for the next 'swap' with Quilters Gallery - it will be off to Switzerland!

Along with this mini pot-holder and other goodies.

BJ was busy with another baby quilt!

 And still more!

Judy was making aprons for a sale.

And I was trying to put a T-shirt quilt for my son, Matt.

In the end, I like it; now to make another one for my son Rob.

Faye2 and her lovely blocks.

Jane cutting some charity fabric to make .....

...bow ties blocks.

Judy making Maple Leaf blocks for a Quilt of Valour quilt.

All in all, some very productive sewing!!

See you soon!

Bev
